EIP Commenting on Supplemental Permit Amendments for Motiva's Port Arthur Texas Refinery Expansion
Jul 9, 2009

The Environmental Integrity Project and its partner organizations continue to monitor refinery expansion projects in Texas. Motiva Enterprises LLC has applied to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for multiple permit amendments subsequent to the November 2006 permitting of Motiva's major refinery expansion project at its refinery in Port Arthur, Texas.  These applications raise several issues related to transparent permit processing and increases of VOC emissions. We look forward to the TCEQ's draft permit and response to public comments.
