Recent EPA survey shows refinery emissions nearly three times higher than industry report. EPA and groups ask House Science Committee to investigate.

An EPA survey estimates that refineries emitted more than 40 million pounds of hazardous air pollutants in 2010, nearly three times the amount the industry reported to the Toxics Release Inventory. EIP and (list groups) asked the House Science Committee today to investigate the health impacts for communities near petrochemical plants.
