EIP Working to Ensure Public Participation Opportunities in Hazardous Air Pollutant Permits in Texas
Jul 9, 2009

The Environmental Integrity Project (EIP) and partner organizations continue their efforts to monitor the permitting of power plants in Texas. Oak Grove Management Company LLC applied for issuance of Hazardous Air Pollutant on December 9, 2009. The notice published on May 13, 2009 raises multiple concerns relating to how the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality intends to process the application, including questions on the availability of public participation. EIP looks forward to reviewing a draft permit, once it is made available.
