Residents living near coal-fired power plants and coal combustion waste disposal sites urge Governor Rendell to adopt safeguards to protect drinking water supplies from coal combustion waste as recommended by the National Academy of Sciences in its March 2006 Report, "Mine Placement of Coal Combustion Residues."
